Wall decal
14-12-09:
Today went Self-fix and saw some wall decal.. Saw 2 designs which we quite like.. Therefore, we decide to give it a try at home.. This is one of them which we try out once we reached home.. Took us quite some time to get it up..
I even accidentally peel a piece of paint out when I try to remove the decal as I find it out of alignment.. Was so angry with myself.. :( But hubby console me by saying it will be covered by the decal...
Isn't the it cute... Added new members to my home today..

Boi's 1st Birthday Cake
01-11-09:
This morning, after me and my hubby washed up. We went to get the birthday cake out from the fridge for our doggy. He was so excited as if he knows we are giving him something special today.
After taking out the strawberry cake, I placed it near the edge of my kitchen table top. He was trying all means to reached it. Jumping and smelling.. :D
It was the 1st time I celebrated his birthday like this and also his 1st birthday in our new home.
After singing him a birthday song, I cut the cake into pieces and place them in his bowl.
He enjoyed it very much. Soon he finish the cake. When he lifted up his face to look at me.
He was in a mess!!! His face was covered with cream.
Time for showered.. HaHa.. Hubby brought him into the toilet for his weekly shower while I clean his bowl... So happy to see him enjoying his cake :)

Boi's birthday
Today me and my hubby went to search for a pet bakery shop @ Turf City Road. Wanted to get a belated birthday cake for my doggy.. I was sooooo guilty. I actually forgot his birthday!!!!!!!!! It was his 1st birthday in our new home... Although it's a few days late.. I hope I can make up for it... So I went online and found this shop.
When we were about to leave home. It started to rain cats & dogs. Almost can't see where we are going. When we are at Turf City, the roads around there are quite dark. With not much lights. We made afew turns before we finally found the shop.. As we entered the shop.. I walk straight to the cake session. There were 3 mini cakes, Strawberry, Banana and Pandan. We choose the strawberry for him.. It's the 1st birthday cake I bought for him.. After that we went to look at other treats for him too.. Bought 2 mini pizza, 1 lamb bone, 1 chocolate bone & 2 apple buns.. He will definitely love them!!!!
When we are home, I gave him 1 pizza and hubby gave him 1 apple bun.. He happily bring it to the floor map and enjoy them slowly.. So happy looking at him enjoying himself :D
Tomorrow I will give him his cake.. I can imagine him eating it and making a big mess on himself (*o*)

Installation of the Optical Cable, 31-10-09
Today is the day to install the Optical cable from Open Net. In order not to damage my boxup too much. My contractor suggested to cut holes on the "box-up" near the designated install location.
The OpenNet contractors took quite a while to lay the fibre-optic cable in the "box-up" as there are aluminum structures inside. So its very difficult to "pull" the cable to the point.
Inevitably, the contractor had to cut 3 holes on our wall.
Took almost 2 hours to complete the installation, afterthat a measurement was taken to ensure the proper signals are present.
Has informed about this job to our reno contractor, and soon enough a sub-con came over to "touch-up" our wall. The holes were patched and plastered, but whats lacking is the paint. Previously, our contractor have left the leftover paints to us, all BUT the paint for our living room, which is "bluebel white" from Nippon. :(
Will have to get it from retail shops, but risk not getting the exact matching colour tone against our wall colours. No choice, otherwise will be 3 ugly patches on the wall.
Lets see how it goes after we get the paint and touch-up the area. Will post the results next time.

Asia Auto Salon 2009

Today was at Expo for lunch as the food court was reopened after renovation. When we were there, Expo was packed with people.. Only than we knew that there is an exhibition, Asia Auto Salon 2009, on going.
When hubby saw those cars.. He was so excited.. Especially those modified racing cars.. Boom boooooom... Haha.
But too bad.. We can't stay long as need to go back to work..
After work, he was still thinking of the exhibition. He din want to waste $ to see the exhibition as the entrance fee was $12/person.. So we decided to make our way to JP. Just when we turned out the road.. I asked if he really sure not going to have a look. And he gave me a pity look.. Upon seeing his face i told him if he really feel like going. We go have a look la... With that.. He made a U-turn back!!! Haha...
When we are at the entrance, the staff told us there will be a drift show at 7pm. As there's still some time. We walk around to admire those beautiful cars and look for accessories for our car..
But hubby was disappointed. He said the exhibition was not as good as what he have expected. And in the end we did not find anything to buy as well.. 'Phew'
After walking 1 round around the exhibition hall. Time for the drift show. So we made our way to the carpark. We waited for more dan half hr for a 20min drifting show.. 'Faintz'..
It was my 1st time seeing a car do drifting.. Was a good experience but smelly & dusty... The tyres of the car are burning due to the friction when they drift.. After that we made out way to JP.

Doggy door

I did a doggy door at my master bedroom's door for my dog to use. It cost me an additional $120 on top of the normal price for a door.
But my dog refuse or can say scare to use it. As I think he finds it too heavy. As I find it heavy too.
Today tried to force him to use it. I tried to push him through the flap. Indeed I manage to push him through, but end up it caught my middle finger. Now it is abit swollen and blue-black. Sob sob..

Our 1st week in our new nest.

So fast, a week had passed. We have stayed here for 1 week already.
Funiture are in, necessary stuffs are unpacked. But there are lots of boxes left untouched.
Getting lazy lao.. Haha.. Everyday I fell so tired.. :'(
I did some DIY stuffsfor my bedroom yest. So happy :) Maybe will try to do some for other walls as well..

A simple home cooked dinner on 13 Aug 09.
Today hubby decide to cook a meal for me. It's the 1st time since I know him that he cooked a meal for me. From beginning till end.. He did it all by himself. :)
Although it's just a simple meal, but it's better than nothing. Hmm... Din know hw can cook.. Hahah...
Wonder will it be the one and only time... (O,o)

08 Aug 09 - Our 1st Anniversary
My 1st anniversary.. We spend the whole day busy cleaning our house. So its a tiring and memorable anniversary. With the house ready to move in on the following day. I can say it's the best anniversary present for both of us :)
On top of that, we bought each other a bracelet and our 1st simple dinner in our newly built nest..

Mini Honeymoon 08-11 Nov 08
Our mini honeymoon after wedding. Due to hubby's busy work schedule, we are not able to go for our honeymoon. Sob sob :'(
Even this mini trip was force by me. Hehe.. Very bad of me thou, but I don't care!!!
Finally managed to convince him to go on this 4D3N Phuket trip. Although it's a short trip, but we enjoy every moment of it. No complains, he have to work hard. If not who feed me!!! Haha..
At the airport, taking Jetstar Airways
2rd day at Phuket, was free and easy. We went to do temporary tatoos.
Even this mini trip was force by me. Hehe.. Very bad of me thou, but I don't care!!!

Our Home
Finally got our keys to our 4rm resale flat 0n 12-06-09.
Immediately, we applied for renovation works from the HDB so that our reno contractor could start work asap. We're still hopeful to be able to move into our flat before the 7th lunar month.
20-06-09
Went to the hardware shop again to go through our accessories again. After confirming all the stuffs, we made payment. So things are now ready while waiting for our contractor to arrange a date with them for delivery.
22-06-09
Second day of hacking. All hacking completed. Nobody around when we reached. So we went in to take a peek. Wow.. All rubbish cleared and the place neatly packed.
27-06-09
Meet-up with our contractor for updates on the progress. At the same time, he and his assistant brought some lamination samples for cabinets for us to choose. Some catalogs for main gate as well.
Yippee.. They started on the common toilet and new wall for master's toilet already.
29-06-09
Meet-up with contractor again at the light shop. Went there to get the lights and fans. After choosing and with our contractors advise, we managed to get all the lights we needed. Make payment and went up to our house again. This time for power points marking.
Other than confirming the location of the switches and power points. We have also confirmed for kitchen cabinets, wardrobe, vanity cupboard, room doors, main door and gate. Except for storeroom and the door's handles.
As for the house progress, door frames are up, common toilet and more than half the kitchen wall tiles completed.

Received a call from contractor's assist today. Telling us the solid surface that we chosed was out of stock. So both of us took urgent leave to Clementi to meet them and choose the design again. In end end, we choose the chocolate chip design.. But I still prefer the initial design that was out of stock :(

2.5weeks since reno work starts. Kitchen and master room's flooring almost done. Living and spare room's completed. The only room that is left untouch is the study room.

3weeks have passed. Time to double confirm on the height of the kitchen cabinets, 8100mm & Vanity cabinet, 8300x7000mm. Flooring are all done except for the 2 toilets. Ceiling and cove light for living are done. Same for the boxup as well.

Finally, I have decided to buy the $100 330mm glass rack for my master toilet vanity. Been pondering over it since I saw it in June!! I saw this rack in June when we are sourcing for toilet accessories and especially for a suitable size rack for the vanity area.
Was in geylang area hunting for accessories and light shops one day. Happen to pass-by this particular shop and went in. The stuffs in it are quite nice and classy. Love at 1st sight for both of us when we saw this rack. Only after receiving the quote than realise the small rack actually cost $100 after discount!!! So we decide to hunt around 1st. But after visiting many shops, most of their racks are similar and we still prefer that one...
So finally we went back to the shop. Bought 2 pcs of the glass rack, 1 matching double towel bar for master toilet and 1 single towel bar for common toilet.

Two weeks have passed since the last update. So today(Wed) went to take a look. Nothing much was done. As nothing seem to be different to me except the new main gate was up. Haha.. No news from my contractor and his assistant as well. (Normally they won't update us. We are the one keep asking them for updates!!!!!) Reno progress had slow down :(
But checked with my contractor. Was informed that they will wash the floor for the areas where they need to fix e cabinets on Thursday. And they will be fixing the cabinets on Friday. But we have not even check the tiles yet!!!! Haiz... Anyway Sat will be meeting him to see the house and also pass him some additional accessories that we bought for the two toilets.

Master wardrobe was up except for the sliding doors. The workers are still working on the Kitchen cabinets. So far so good.

Today met the contractor and his workers to go through the placement of the accessories. We bought our curtain hanger and 2 pcs of mirror from Ikea. So as to ask them fix up as well.

Went to scrub flooring and check for defects. Washed from 3 to 10pm. Both our body breaking after that. So tired!!!!!

Time to check for all the accessories if they are in place.. Some are fix wrongly!! Complain to contractor to ask him change. Hope he will make e changes in time by 6th. As we have arranged for movers to move both our staffs on the 7th.

Lucky major changes are done. Only left some minor things to be touch up. And contractor say we are able to move on 7th.
07-08-09
Moving day. Movers are suppose to come at 9am. But they were late. Only 1 person came. Saying the other 2 went wrong place and their truck was down. So only 1 man show to move all my stuffs at my place for 2 hrs (21 boxes, 1 table, 1 26' TV, 2 big plastic containers and 1 queen mattress). We met the other 2 workers at hubby place. His place we swapped the queen mattress from my place with the new one. His place was much faster as 3 movers (11 boxes, 1 21' TV, 1 4drawers cupboard, 1 clothes hanger rack, 4 plastic containers and storeroom racks). Finally moved finished at 1pm. So now mop the floor again and unpack while waiting for furnitures, fridge and washer to be delivered.

Today spend whole day unpacking at new place. Need to unpacked those items that are needed for the offical prayers tomorrow. As it's a good date for moving in.

Went to fetch parents-in-law at 9am. Reach new hse at abt 9.45am. Preparation of prayers beginning. It lasted till 11am. Just nice within the auspicious timing. After this we are consider offically moved in. So happy... Finally...
